How to Measure Your Frenchie for the Perfect Fit

How to Measure Your Frenchie for the Perfect Fit

Date:

Finding the right size for your French Bulldog isn’t just about style—it’s about comfort and safety too. With their compact bodies and unique builds, Frenchies need clothing that fits just right. That’s why we’ve designed a sizing guide tailored specifically for them.

Follow this simple guide to make sure your pup gets the perfect fit every time.

🐶 What You'll Need:

  • A soft measuring tape

  • A treat or two (to keep your Frenchie still)

  • A few minutes of your time

📏 Key Measurements to Take:

1. Neck

Wrap the tape around the base of the neck where a collar would sit. You should be able to slide one finger under the tape.

2. Chest

Measure the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs. This is the most important measurement for a good fit.

3. Back Length

Start at the base of the neck and measure along the spine to the start of the tail. Make sure your Frenchie is standing straight.

4. Head

Wrap the tape around the largest part of the head to ensure our slip-on designs slide on with ease.

🧵 Sizing Chart

Size Neck Chest Back Length Head Weight
S 30–34cm 40–48cm 24–28cm 36–44cm 9–13kg
M 34–38cm 48–54cm 28–32cm 46–52cm 13–21kg
L 38–42cm 54–60cm 32–36cm 52–60cm 21–24kg
XL 42–46cm 60–66cm 36–40cm 60cm+ 26kg+

💡 Tips:

  • If your dog is in between sizes, size up for comfort.

  • Remember to consider their fluff level—some Frenchies are lean, others are chunky and proud!

  • Measure twice if you're unsure. It’s better than returning because of a snug fit.
